Heidi Wickham
Heidi Wickham, was born in South Wales in 1966. Heidi achieved an honours degree in Fine Art from Bristol University in 1989 and moved to Sligo in 1992.
Since settling here with husband Steve and two children, Tom and Daisy, Heidi has been working continuously within the Sligo arts scene. From the Hawkswell in the mid-nineties where she worked as back stage crew and set painter, to educational drama with youth groups producing five plays to date.
Heidi has had two solo art exhibitions and has been included in group shows locally, specialising in life drawing in dramatic charcoals, as well as vibrant oils. In 2004, Heidi had a children’s book published through Trafford, and has plans for future publications. Heidi would be well known for her lively felt workshops that she brings to community centres in the surrounding counties, and will be expanding on this craft facility next year, in order to bring a variety of art workshops to communities further a-field.
