Literature

Sligo is the land that inspired the Nobel laureate, dramatist and Ireland’s most famous poet William Butler Yeats (1865 - 1939) and it’s easy to see why he wrote about it as eloquently as his younger brother Jack Butler Yeats (1871 - 1957) painted it. These pages contain the profiles of writers of high quality poetry, fiction, short fiction, children’s literature, critical writing and some forms of creative non-fiction aswell as bookstores and publishers.
