This two-day workshop provides an introduction to Art Therapy for professionals working in health, social care and education
This two-day workshop provides an introduction to Art Therapy for professionals working in health, social care and education who are interested in learning about the benefits of using creative methods to work with clients with various needs. The workshop gives an overview of the development of and different approaches to Art Therapy, with a focus on process oriented Art Therapy. It will give examples of how Art Therapy can be a powerful therapeutic medium to work with specific client groups. The workshop will explore aspects of the creative and therapeutic process, and will explain how Art Therapy can empower people and help them to develop their potential. Throughout the workshop theoretical teaching will be interspersed with experiential sessions. The workshop will be facilitated by Maddy Smith and Pia Lück.
