Traditional Concert and Unveiling of Paddy Killoran Monument

On Saturday 1st December, Ballymote CCE have organised a Gala Traditional Concert featuring master-fiddler KEVIN BURKE (Bothy Band, Patrick Street) and guests in the Art Deco Theatre at 8.30pm

Tickets €15 are available from Currid’s Ballymote, Ceolaras Coleman Gurteen and the Record Room Sligo. This should be a truly memorable night of Traditional Music and should bring back memories of the great concerts held in the former Cinema in the 1950s and 60s.

The Paddy Killoran Monument, now under construction at the Gurteen Road entrance to the Ballymote Town Park, is to be unveiled by Kevin Burke on Sunday 2nd December at 12.30pm.

Paddy Killoran, one ofIreland's finest fiddlers, emigrated from Ballymote toNew Yorkin the early years of the last century and became one of the great Sligo Fiddlers of the era, along with Michael Coleman and James Morrison.

Fiddle Master Class with Kevin Burke - Saturday December 1st in Pastoral Centre Ballymote: 2.30pm - 4.30pm.

Booking required. Skill level - must play jigs and reels.
