Per Cent for Art Scheme Opportunity for artists

Loreto College, Mullingar invites submissions from artists, sculptors, lighting designers, craft designers etc. for a public art commission, funded by the Per Cent for Art scheme under the aegis of the Department of Education and Skills, on the occasion of a major extension to the school.

Loreto College has been in Mullingar since 1881. Applicants should be mindful of the spiritual, cultural and historic tradition of the school, whose mission springs from the Loreto philosophy of education. 

The preferred commission may be sited in the interior and/or the exterior of the school, and the selection panel reserves the right to select the work of different artists for the different spaces.

A substantial budget has been made available by the Department of Education and Skills. Interested parties are invited to submit on or before the 10^th November 2012 a cover letter with CV and samples of work that may be relevant to this project to Ms. Marése Bell, The Principal, Loreto College, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.
