Sligo Connection to NewSoundWorlds Festival in Paris

Irish composers feature prominently in a three-day festival at the Center Culturel Irlandais which takes place from 25–27 October 2012 in Paris, is organised by NewSoundWorlds and curated by Sligo composer Siobhán Cleary.

The festival includes concerts given by the Vanbrugh Quartet and pianist Hugh Tinney (25 October); violinist Catherine and Hugh Tinney (26 October); and the NewSoundWorlds Ensemble (27 October).

Featured composers include Elaine Agnew, Gerald Barry, Enda Bates, Raymond Deane, Donnacha Dennehy, Benjamin Dwyer, David Fennessy, Dave Flynn, Andrew Hamilton, Gráinne Mulvey, Garrett Sholdice, Jennifer Walshe, and Ian Wilson.
