The Roundabout Gallery are delighted to host their first exhibition of the Autumn season this October. ‘Where Spirit Lies’ is a unique blend of paintings and poetry by Leitrim artist, Maria Noonan-McDermott.
This is an exhibition that will appeal to everyone. It has a blend of landscapes, seascapes, figurative paintings and still life, all portrayed inMaria's unique style.
Maria says 'Where Spirit Lies' is a celebration, a prayer of thanksgiving for all that is good in this world. It's a matter of just focusing-in on the positives; children's laughter, a helping hand, a gift of flowers, a warm smile, a summer breeze or a river wild. A person reaches a stage in their life when they know what's truly important...
For me, nothing gives me more pleasure than sharing a meal with family and friends, a long walk on the beach or a stroll in the woods by the river.
It brings me right back to my childhood when life was simple, yet deeply cherished.
Riversong
In quiet contentment by the river's edge
precious moments,
of time gone by.
Tiny ripples flow,
on the tide of the music it plays.
Divine choruses,
lending wings to our thoughts,
catch the rich harmony
in celestial array.
The heavenly tempo
radiating new life of love and purity,
giving soul to our hearts,
the very essence of our being.
This voyage of discovery
through still and calm,
upon reflection, lasts forever,
praising nature's lullaby.
