Opportunity for artists:

Being and Belonging - Cross-border arts and early years initiative

Kids’ Own is delighted to invite expressions of interest from artists to work with parents and young children in border communities as part of a brand new exploratory early years and family learning project, funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Reconciliation Fund.

This pilot initiative, delivered by Kids’ Own in partnership with Early Childhood Ireland and Early Years – the organisation for young children, Northern Ireland, aims to connect parent-â€toddler groups in four locations within the border region and to explore the value of early intervention and artistic play on child development and learning.

Four artists will be selected to work one day per week, over a 7-week period in each location. Artists of any discipline may apply.

The new deadline for applications is: Monday 17th September 2012.
