This event aims to:
  • Highlight potential opportunities within the green economy.
  • Inform attendees about the support available for developing business ideas.
  • Provide information on further training available.
  • Facilitate networking across the green business sector.


9.30 - 1.15  Talks on the Opportunities within the Green Economy:

Speakers include:

  • John Perry TD – Minister for Small Business; 
  • Duncan Stewart, TV Presenter; 
  • John Reilly, CEO Sligo County Enterprise Board; 
  • Green Works Participants;
  • Will Woodrow, Director, Woodrow Sustainable Solutions.

 2.00-4.00   Free Advice Clinics
  • Information and demonstrations from Green Sector Industry Professionals.  
    From across the sector, a range of professionals will be on hand to discuss business ideas and working within the sector.  
 
  • Support and Further Training Advice.  
    Employment and regional training bodies will be there to advise students.  
 
  • Business and Sustainability Mentoring:  
    15 minute slots may be pre-booked  to have a 1:1 mentoring slot with a business or sustainability professional. 
 
This event is free and open to the public but places must be booked in advance please.
