27 events across towns and villages, community spaces and public places make up this year’s Culture Night programme in Sligo.

Under the theme “One Night for All”, Culture Night Sligo 2026 will bring together artists, performers, makers, musicians, community groups and audiences for an evening celebrating creativity, culture and connection.

From exhibitions and live music to workshops, theatre, storytelling, traditional arts and late-night cultural experiences, all of which are free to attend or participate in – it’s the perfect excuse to get out, get involved and experience the wealth of creativity and culture Sligo has to offer.

From an illuminated Giant sleeping in Queen Maeve Square to Spilt Milk’s: Minor Disturbance late-night programme of electronic music, DJs and large-scale projections at ATU Sligo, the programme extends across town from The Model to The Market Yard.

Around the county, traditions are being kept alive this Culture Night, with  music, poetry and spoken word in Ballinful, music and storytelling in Ransboro, creative activities in Drumcliffe, a celebration of South Sligo traditions in Gurteen and a Rambling House night in Ballintogher.

This year’s programme also includes a strong selection of Culture Night Late events, providing audiences with opportunities to engage with culture after hours. Late events include Nesting Culture Night at The Nest, Vivid Studio Gallery: Open Studio & Gallery, the Sleeping Giant at Queen Maeve Square, Spilt Milk: Minor Disturbance at the ATU Innovation Centre, Scéal na Michael at The Swagman and Yeats and the Golden Dawn at the Yeats Building.

With events taking place across Sligo from the afternoon through to midnight, Culture Night 2026 offers an opportunity to experience the county’s creative energy in new and unexpected ways!
