Sligo County Council is inviting applications for funding under the Regional Festival & Events scheme 2025. This is a combined fund with funding streams from Fáilte Ireland’s Regional Festivals and Participative Events scheme 2025 and Sligo County Council’s contribution to support Commercial/Tourism and Community Festivals. This funding aims to support festivals and participative events with a regional reach that will drive the local economy of the County and domestic tourism, improving the overall visitor experience in County Sligo.
The Scheme is aimed at festivals and participative events that fit into one of the following categories:
- General festivals (i.e., literary, historic, traditional culture or family focused)
- Arts, Music & Theatre
- Food & Drink
- Sports & Outdoors
- Business & Education
Please Note: There is no guarantee of funding and eligible applications will be evaluated on a competitive basis against the criteria set out in the Applicant Guidelines.

Closing date for receipt of completed applications is 4pm Wednesday, 19th March 2025.
Applications received after this date will not be considered.
