May 2025, marks 22 years of Sligo’s Bealtaine Festival. The festival provides opportunities for older people to be more creative, more often and to celebrate how our creative potential doesn’t diminish with age.
Once again, this year’s festival programme boasts a series of exhibitions, free workshops, talks and other events throughout the month of May. Curated by Sligo County Council’s Arts Service Department, there are opportunities for older people (aged 50+) to once again explore their creative sides, make new connections and share traditions across the generations.
The Bealtaine Festival Sligo has grown by including local arts and cultural venues, artists’ studio collectives, community gardens and care settings.
